Overview
The Assistant Manager (ASM) is a skilled and motivated leader responsible for direct leadership of hourly employees in day-to-day functions.
Essential Duties
● Lead a small team that delivers on functional priorities.
● Maintain positive internal working relationships by communicating in a professional
and courteous manner
● Ensure that strategic plans and actions are consistently implemented across the
department to meet KPI goals and objectives, making adjustments as needed
● Effectively influence the development of a positive work environment that inspires
the team to meet the department’s daily goals
● Work with your Supervisor to implement weekly plans and adjust as needed
● Understand the business and identify potential areas of improvement from a
technical perspective, compliance, or regulatory risk
● Proactively deep dive variations in team performance
Main responsibilities
● 2+ years of direct management experience managing hourly front-line employees
● 2+ years of experience in performance management, coaching and feedback
(performance reviews, corrective action, individual development plans, etc.)
● Experience in working/developing within a diverse and inclusive work environment
● Ability to problem solve and implement solutions quickly in situations where only limited
standardization exists
● Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey important information clearly and
effectively
● Strong leadership competency and ability to take the initiative
● Excellent delegator, collaborator, and mediator
