Job Summary:

Provide technical support and service for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and related peripherals to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining single and three phase UPS systems. Coordinate technical sales and emergency service calls as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site service for power quality products, including startup, maintenance, and modifications.
  • Offer technical support to internal teams, third-party service providers, and end users.
  • Inspect, test, and document product failures before returning them for further analysis.
  • Schedule and respond to emergency service calls as part of on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute insights as required.
  • Diagnose and repair routine and complex product failures, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Advise customers on service offerings and long-term maintenance strategies, such as recommending battery upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot UPS malfunctions down to a board level with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate service records and provide detailed documentation on repair analyses.
  • Mentor less experienced technicians in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ensure timely submission of expense reports and adhere to company policies.
  • Uphold the company’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies in all interactions.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Electronics or related field, with at least 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing technical, electrical, or electronic products; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of UPS systems, peripherals, and data center electrical equipment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electronic test equipment operation, data collection, and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of communication and networking protocols.
  • OSHA-10 construction and NFPA-70E certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret equipment schematics and facility one-line drawings.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.
