Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth and development in the energy sector? Our client, a leading competitive energy company in the United States, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Development Director to join their team in Washington DC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the corporate development strategy to identify, evaluate, and execute potential merger and acquisition opportunities in the energy industry
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, investment banks, and potential targets
- Conduct financial analysis and due diligence to assess the feasibility and impact of potential transactions in the energy sector
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of acquired businesses
- Stay informed about market trends and competitive landscape in the energy industry to identify new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or related fields within the energy industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading and closing M&A transactions in the energy sector
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
