About the program: We are accepting applications for our DOD SkillBridge Employment Skills Training Apprenticeship Program, designed and developed to provide our nation's military members the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training and professional experience from a global leader in highly specialized microelectronic manufacturing that provides support to the military, medical, electric vehicle, and 5G market segments. This opportunity is only available to service members who meet the intent and program requirements outlined by the DOD SkillBridge Program. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instructions for SkillBridge participation.
  • Official TAD/TDY Orders and other DOD mandated paperwork for the period of the apprenticeship.
  • Must have the ability to participate in the apprenticeship program for no less than 120 days.

Training Overview: Throughout the 120-day program, participants will engage in practical exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios to reinforce their learning. This instruction will be delivered primarily through online, interactive, and practical demonstrations. Regular check-ins with mentors and supervisors will ensure continuous progress and support. The manager will conduct performance reviews after 30, 60, and 90 days to track participants' progress. At the end of each phase, assessments will be evaluated to determine satisfactory outcomes. In the event of any unsatisfactory evaluations, a remedial training plan will be implemented immediately to improve training effectiveness. By the end of the program, participants will be well-equipped to excel as Talent Acquisition Business Partners specializing in the manufacturing industry while adhering to the guidelines of the DOD SkillBridge program.

Job Summary: As a Production Trainer, your primary responsibility is training employees to production documentation, including evaluation of skills, record keeping of training completion, and identification and training for other potential trainers. This involves working alongside direct labor employees to review process documentation and execute the steps outlined in the documentation. It also involves a review of trainee and trainer competency at completion of each task, as well as feedback to the document owner to improve clarity of documentation when necessary. During the training process, the Production Trainer will utilize computer programs to record training completion, in support of certification of completion. You will work alongside Supervisors and Engineers to execute the on the job training for employees and facilitate their overall training process in a new production process and/or department. To excel in this position, you must possess a diverse skill set, including exceptional organizational abilities, adept people management, strategic thinking, effective communication, multitasking proficiency, and a thorough understanding of data analysis and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions for production documentation, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
  • Evaluate trainees' skills and knowledge through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of training completion and competency assessments for all employees.
  • Identify potential trainers among experienced employees and provide them with the necessary training and guidance.
  • Collaborate with document owners to review and improve the clarity of process documentation based on trainee and trainer feedback.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production documentation principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training delivery and feedback.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining training records and assessing competency.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with cross-functional teams and document owners to improve process documentation.
  • Experience in training or teaching roles preferred, with a focus on technical or manufacturing topics being a plus.
