Position Overview:

This role serves as a strategic and operational partner for the Hematology & Oncology medical leads, focusing on key portfolio priorities. Responsibilities include supporting critical portfolio processes related to medical planning, annual budgeting, and project management for essential clinical trials. The position involves collaboration across various strategic and operational functions within the organization and reports to the Director of Strategy & Operations for Hematology & Oncology.


Required Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of medical affairs.
  • Solid foundation in project management, including experience in matrix management, budget oversight, metrics tracking, and leadership communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and management while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient in leading complex scientific discussions, developing clear action plans, and executing follow-up tasks.
  • Proven experience in building relationships, leading strategic initiatives, and collaborating across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently and effectively within cross-functional matrix teams.
  • Comfort in navigating ambiguity, driving change, and fostering innovation within a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in drug development, commercialization, healthcare, or clinical trial management is a plus.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Medical Team Lead and core team to facilitate medical matrix meetings, ensuring agendas focus on key deliverables, risk management, and issue resolution. Ensure clarity on key actions and accountability among team members.
  • Work with Finance and Medical leads to manage the budgeting process, including trade-off discussions, annual budgets, monthly projections, accruals, variance analysis, and budget planning for the upcoming year.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medical Operations function.
  • Support key clinical trial efforts to ensure successful execution and delivery within the US.
  • Capture and disseminate essential communication points.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA) is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research, development, or commercialization, with a strong scientific background recommended.
  • Hematology or Oncology clinical trial management (Preferred)
