Blue Arrow Strategies has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager (Marketing / Public Relations) hybrid position located in Alexandria, VA. The Senior Manager (Marketing / Public Relations) will spearhead strategic communications and public relations campaigns in the realm of issue advocacy. The successful candidate will be tasked with planning and executing international marketing campaigns with a strong emphasis on grassroots initiatives and stakeholder impact.

This role requires not only exceptional leadership in guiding a multifaceted team but the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key contacts, influencers, and relevant stakeholders to advance the objectives of issue advocacy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement holistic strategic communications and public relations strategies.


  • Demonstrate success in achieving KPP/KPI metrics via insights and analysis.


  • Work as part of an integrated PR and digital team, driving the strategic inclusion of social media across client

  • programs, including but not limited to content development, community management, publishing best practices, channel strategy, test plan development, insights, and analytic reports.


  • Oversee account teams to ensure seamless delivery of client work products including quality reviews and team accountability.


  • Manage multiple projects/accounts with the ability to maintain cost, schedule & performance with a focus on quality.


  • Build trusting relationships with team members and clients daily.


  • Provide thoughtful ongoing strategic counsel and media relations advice to senior executives at client organizations.

 

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or public relations with 10-15 years of client facing digital experience (social media specialty preferred), with at least 8 years in an agency setting.


  • Expertise to monitor and accurately project campaign performance. Comfort with data and using past results to drive future strategy.


  • Deep knowledge and understanding of digital media platforms – primarily Google Suite, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube – including both organic and paid strategies and capabilities.


  • Ability to take initiative and quickly adapt strategies/approach based on client direction, with a focus on attention to detail.


Desired Qualifications:


  • Possess a passion for teaching and mentoring team members, working in close collaboration with digital team leadership and account teams focusing on process/process optimization.


  • Extensive knowledge of earned media and marketing tactics (i.e., search, influencer, editorial), and where social media and digital activations can be integrated and measured.


  • Experience with social media management, influencer management, analytics tools, social listening (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, Meltwater).


  • Proficiency in CRM tools to build and maintain contacts for newsletters and subscriptions


  • Familiarity with all aspects of communications campaigns including public opinion research, media planning (traditional and digital), creative development, digital engagement strategy and financial management.


  • Adept at ideation across multiple team disciplines.


  • Working knowledge of AI tools/platforms relevant to social media campaign development.



  • Maintain a pulse on emerging social media and digital trends.
