We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Management System (LMS)/Benchling Systems Specialist in Cambridge, MA. This role is essential for managing and supporting all activities related to our LMS software, Benchling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory environments and experience in configuring and customizing LMS systems to meet unique scientific needs. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong customer service mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration & Configuration: Manage, administer, and configure Benchling for Non-GLP and GLP labs, ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with laboratory workflows.
- Customization & Optimization: Customize Benchling modules, workflows, and reports to fit unique requirements, enhancing overall user experience and system efficiency.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide high-quality support for Benchling LMS daily operations, including troubleshooting, testing, and issue resolution to maintain seamless lab operations.
- Implementation & Deployment: Assist in the incremental implementation and deployment of Benchling, including system configuration, validation, and training support.
- Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain SOPs, validation documents, and process documentation to ensure compliance with GMP/GDP standards.
- Vendor & User Support: Act as a key point of contact for vendors and end users, offering prompt and effective support with a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Benchling and/or similar LMS systems.
- Laboratory Knowledge: Proven experience in laboratory environments with a solid understanding of laboratory workflows and processes.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Benchling architecture and database schema. Experience with CSV and generating validation deliverables.
- GMP/GDP Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in GMP/GDP laboratory or lab-adjacent settings.
- System Implementation: Demonstrated experience in system implementation and deployment, particularly with Benchling or similar platforms.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide effective support to end users and vendors with a sense of urgency.
