Collaborate with manufacturing to support consistent delivery, enhanced efficiency, reduced cost, improved sustainability, and maximized profitability. Evaluate material handling, batching and process while maintaining proper documentation. Actively engage cross-functionally in the development, process design, scale up, and commercialization of new and renovated products for making data driven decision for the business.


Responsibilities

  • Execute projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, profit and continuous improvement
  • Help write project proposals and generate reports
  • Help present design and research for internal customers
  • Technical resource for the manufacturing and support functions
  • Support process on large capital projects
  • Collaborate with product development on feasibility and trialing of new ingredients and products
  • Develop process to meet production, measures process capabilities with the plants
  • Maintain material handling, batching, and process and new technology and equipment to improve the process/efficiency of the business
  • Document batch, process, and equipment changes in product life cycle management
  • Understand process change through process capability measurement
  • Contribute to Management of Change representing process change
  • Travel required as needed for business


Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree or relevant scientific field of study required
  • Certifications such as six sigma preferred
  • Project management; leading teams/project teams experience a plus
  • Technical knowledge of engineering, data analysis and food science
  • Fundamental knowledge of consumer-packaged product processes and line equipment
  • Capability and capacity to manage several projects
  • Knowledge associated with design of experiments, statistical analysis, and statistical process control as part of data driven decision
  • Able to work independently and manage deadlines, while flexible to changing business needs
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills while looking for alternate solutions.
  • 2+ years of food industry experience
