What to Expect

As an Additive Manufacturing Engineer specializing in WAAM, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of WAAM processes using Kuka robotics platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive advancements in our manufacturing capabilities and ensure the highest quality standards are met.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize WAAM processes to produce high-quality components.
  • Operate and program KUKA robotics platforms for additive manufacturing tasks.
  • Conduct material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct research and development to enhance WAAM techniques and materials.
  • Collaborate with design, and engineering teams to integrate WAAM into the manufacturing workflow.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WAAM and robotic systems.
  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices for WAAM operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in additive manufacturing technologies and implement new techniques as appropriate.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and preferably a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or: 3-5 years of experience in additive manufacturing with a focus on WAAM.
  • Proven experience with Kuka robotics platforms, including programming and operation.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and material science as it relates to WAAM.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Background in the aerospace industry preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
