About the Role

Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, and we're seeking an experienced Additive Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our production and development organization, you will be responsible for supporting the development of various Additive technologies, including DED and Hybrid Solutions, with various alloys.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop printing parameters for various metallic alloys using a variety of printing methods, mainly DED focused, with exposure to L-PBF.
- Create new and improve existing print programs.
- Provide engineering support for the day-to-day Additive Manufacturing operations.
- Work closely with downstream support functions to ensure print geometries can be effectively post-processed.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of professional experience with metal Additive Manufacturing on DED systems.
- Firm understanding of DfAM fundamentals.
- Experience modeling in Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
- 5-Axis CAM Experience.
