About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction HVAC Design Engineer to join one of top client's in the Portland, Oregon area In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a variety of commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative mindset and a robust background in mechanical engineering, with an in-depth understanding of both airside and hydronic HVAC systems as well as proficiency in mechanical design software.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer HVAC systems tailored to commercial building specifications.
  • Develop system layouts, calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Optimize HVAC system performance for energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the construction process.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
  • Willing to obtain a PE license in the state of Oregon.
  • 7+ years of experience in HVAC Design, including airside and hydronic systems.
  • Practiced knowledge of electrical controls and power related to mechanical systems.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ability to be client-facing, with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and piping system design is a plus.
  • Active PE license in the state of Oregon.
