Our client - an elite Financial Services firm in NYC - is searching for a Desktop Support Specialist to join their Service Desk in the NYC office. You will play a key role in the front-line support of technology throughout the company. This includes both in-person and remote technical support and assistance. In this role, you will perform and oversee the day to day operations of the desktops, phone systems, network Infrastructure, handling of user tickets, perform trouble shooting of network / systems issues for offices, and more.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing "first class" desktop support and general IT services to all employees
  • Troubleshoot user problems over the phone and with remote control technologies
  • Perform hardware & software troubleshooting to identify root-cause issue
  • Patching workstation operating systems, as well as third party applications
  • Administration & handling of company issued mobile devices to provide support and assist with smartphone, mobile, tablet troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft OS support (windows 10, Win7), MS Office applications (Office, Visio, Project, O365)
  • Handheld phone and tablet support (Windows, IOS, Android)
  • Experience providing phone support with all employees, especially executive staff
  • Knowledge & experience using Active Directory
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare)
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
  • Experience providing direct end-user IT helpdesk and/or desktop support
  • Previous experience within financial services a plus.
