Duties:

Creation, and upkeep of technical documentation, deployment, and maintenance of communication templates, Knowledge base articles, and internal SOPs.

Translate development notes, end-user feedback, and hands-on demos into trouble ticket guidance, how-to guides, knowledgebase articles, and presentations.

Provide End-user communications with the support of developers/managers/scrum masters etc.

Acts as a liaison between ISSO and AMS team for SDLC security documentation and security compliance documentation requests.

Acts as a liaison between AMS and the Department of State Consular Affairs to ensure application POA&M's, security data calls, and software security findings are tracked and updated.

Ensures all stories within the software cycle have followed scrubbing guidelines and are written in a way that ensures objectives and acceptance criteria are salient to every team member.


Experience Level:

2+ years of technical writing experience, supporting a software development project.

BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or related preferred

Professional Certifications MCSA is a plus.

Security+ or related security certification a plus


Requirement:

Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear, and concise manner.

Familiarity with software development and software security concepts and terminology

Able to independently curate, edit, and write system documentation and diagram technical interactions in a way that is easily understood by end users.

Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Able to meet deadlines and work independently.

Experience with Visio, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and basic graphic editing skills preferred.

Experience in UML is a plus.

Minimum Local Travel to other facilities will be required.

Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Secret, or ability to obtain a DoD clearance before employment.
