Are you ready to play a pivotal role in a dynamic, international environment? As the Legal Manager, you'll support their International Legal Director and ensure their US legal team and global Legal & Regulatory Affairs (LRA) team contribute fully to the company's success. Your high-quality legal advice will be instrumental in implementing strategies across the US and Americas, driving balanced and sustainable business growth.


Who We Are Looking For


We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and results-oriented individual who is:


  • A qualified lawyer with a law degree.
  • Holding a JD from a US accredited law school and admission to the North Carolina state bar (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Bringing 5+ years of experience from an in-house legal role.
  • Proficient in English with exceptional written and oral communication skills.


Core Duties


In this role, you'll handle a diverse array of legal challenges, including:


  • Managing comprehensive legal issues such as hiring, firing, and regulatory compliance (PNC).
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with agencies like the FDA, FTC, and TTB.
  • Overseeing marketing guidelines, particularly for tobacco products.
  • Conducting contract work and advising on advertising restrictions.
  • Providing high-energy, hands-on legal support across various domains.


Must Haves


To thrive in this role, you should have:


  • In-house legal experience, with a broad range of responsibilities.
  • Expertise beyond just contract review.
  • Experience working in small teams and managing multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory aspects, marketing, HR, and legal compliance.
  • A hands-on approach, high energy, and well-rounded capabilities.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, fast-moving consumer goods).



Work Site: Hybrid (2/3 schedule)

Competitive salary: $180k - $190k + Annual Bonus
