The MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Analyst is responsible for analyzing, planning, and managing materials needed for production processes. Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or production planning, with specific experience in MRP analysis.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and software.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain concepts.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

MRP System Management:

  • Utilize MRP software to analyze demand, forecast material requirements, and generate production schedules.
  • Monitor MRP system outputs, such as material requirements, inventory levels, and order schedules.
  • Maintain and update MRP parameters and master data to ensure accurate planning and scheduling.

Demand Forecasting and Planning:

  • Collaborate with sales, production, and procurement teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Use historical data, sales forecasts, and customer orders to calculate material requirements and production schedules.
  • Adjust production plans and schedules based on changes in demand and supply conditions.

Inventory Management:

  • Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and service levels.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates, lead times, and stock-out risks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage safety stock levels.

Supplier Coordination:

  • Communicate material requirements and delivery schedules to suppliers.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to expedite urgent orders or resolve supply chain issues.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze MRP data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
