Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 1 year (with potential for continued employment on other projects)

Languages Required: English (B2 level)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (1-hour lunch break)


Job Responsibilities:

- Coordinate survey-related aspects of multiple heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and other civil engineering works.

- Occasionally assume the duties of the Survey Manager.

- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports documenting legal descriptions of surveys.

- Verify survey data and calculations to ensure accuracy.

- Record and analyze survey results.

- Calculate site measurements and dimensions.

- Research legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify and verify information.

- Stakeout points on-site for construction activities.

- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications.

- Collect and analyze survey data.

- Perform leveling tasks and use specific surveying software.

- Operate Total Station, Level, and GPS equipment proficiently.

- Regularly inspect and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.


Qualifications:

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (required).

- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Land and Office Surveyor.

- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial or supervisory surveyor role.

- Expertise in using Leica and Topcon Total Stations and GPS equipment.

- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

- Experience with Open Roads is a plus.
