We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Shipping Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring goods' smooth and efficient movement from our facilities to customers worldwide. This position requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate all aspects of the shipping process, including scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documents, and arranging transportation.
  2. Liaise with internal departments such as operations, accounting, and sales to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and accurate shipment of goods.
  3. Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  4. Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, and other documentation required for domestic and international shipments.
  5. Track shipments and update relevant stakeholders on the status of orders, ensuring transparency and timely delivery.
  6. Resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies, including damaged goods, shipping delays, and customs clearance issues.
  7. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information, delivery receipts, and shipping costs.
  8. Monitor shipping costs and seek opportunities to optimize transportation expenses while maintaining service levels.
  9. Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling, export controls, and customs requirements.
  10. Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to streamline shipping operations and enhance efficiency.


Qualifications:

  1. Experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  2. Strong understanding of shipping procedures, transportation regulations, and customs compliance requirements.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and shipping software/systems (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, etc.).
  6. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to quickly resolve shipping-related issues and adapt to changing circumstances.
  7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze shipping data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  9. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in logistics or supply chain management
  2. Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade regulations.
  3. Prior experience in managing shipments of hazardous materials or perishable goods.
