Nurse Manager, Outpatient Oncology Practice

A healthcare organization in Washington DC is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their adult medical oncology Clinic as their new Nurse Manager.

Setting: Outpatient
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Business hours
Specialty: Oncology

Responsibilities:

The Nurse Manager - Outpatient Oncology Practice will:

  • Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care in the assigned area
  • Ensure adherence to Hospital policies and procedures, supporting the hospital's mission and vision
  • Maintain responsibility for the quality of patient care and implement continuous performance improvement processes
  • Oversee clinical practice, staff development, continuing education, management, and leadership
  • Collaborate with administration, physicians, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure effective communication and quality patient care
  • Provide consultation and support for problem resolution and process improvement

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Oncology experience
  • DC Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communications kills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
