A healthcare organization in Washington DC is seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse to join their adult medical oncology Clinic as their new Nurse Manager.
Setting: Outpatient
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Business hours
Specialty: Oncology
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager - Outpatient Oncology Practice will:
- Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care in the assigned area
- Ensure adherence to Hospital policies and procedures, supporting the hospital's mission and vision
- Maintain responsibility for the quality of patient care and implement continuous performance improvement processes
- Oversee clinical practice, staff development, continuing education, management, and leadership
- Collaborate with administration, physicians, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure effective communication and quality patient care
- Provide consultation and support for problem resolution and process improvement
- 3+ years of Oncology experience
- DC Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications kills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing
