We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager with a PMP certification and a strong background in Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies to lead our cloud-based initiatives. If you are passionate about leading complex projects and ensuring successful cloud deployments, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing cloud-based projects, particularly focusing on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and IT operations, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational objectives. Your ability to manage stakeholder expectations, maintain budgets, and mitigate risks will be essential to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and closure of cloud-based projects, specifically on Microsoft Azure. Ensure projects are completed within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and leadership teams, to define project requirements, set expectations, and communicate progress.
- Cloud Deployment & Management: Lead the deployment and migration of applications and services to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues in a timely manner. Proactively address potential blockers and implement contingency plans when necessary.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure optimal utilization of team members to meet project objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and communication among technical and non-technical team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards, adhere to regulatory compliance, and follow best practices in cloud and IT project management.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings. Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, risk logs, and decision logs.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements in project management processes, especially those related to cloud computing, to increase efficiency and project success rates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
Experience:
- 7+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing cloud projects, specifically in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies, including infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Experience in leading teams through cloud adoption and migration processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including resource management, security, and compliance.
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools, services, and architecture patterns.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud security best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and resolve them proactively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud-native development, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
