Responsibilities:

  • Support of the fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations for AMD.
  • Plans, organizes, develops, maintains, and coordinates the development and implementation of fiscal operations, processes, policies and procedures for the MN program.
  • Support development of the annual agency’s MN budget and reviews statewide expenditure and spend plan data.
  • Perform monthly program/project expense analysis, and assist with the review and analysis of MN expenditures and budgets.
  • Supporting executive decision making and presenting the financial aspects of projects to senior management.
  • Requires understanding budgeting and accounting with the ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to promote financial accountability, and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
  • Provide good customer service to internal team members & external customers, comprehensive analytical skills (Excel, MS Word), being an effective communicator, as well as being self-motivated and showing initiative while accomplishing the task at hand.


Required Skills:

  • 5 Years - Extensive experience in the use of computers and software (Microsoft365) applications. Excel pivot tables, complex spreadsheets, etc.
  • 5 Years - Extensive experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • 5 Years - Customer service to broad audiences; professionals, vendors, team members and executive staff
  • 5 Years - General knowledge of accounting practices and financial management.


Desired Skills:

  • 3 Years - Experience in performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to promote financial accountability
  • 1 Years - Commonwealth of VA Financial knowledge and applied experience.
  • 1 Years - Experience with the Cardinal financial system.


This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
