A high-frequency trading firm is looking to bring on a Data Center Engineer to their Infrastructure Team. You will be responsible for maintaining their ultra-low latency server infrastructure, networking components, and storage systems. You will ensure the stability and reliability of the datacenter environment to support real-time trading operations, implementing specialized hardware and optimizing configurations to minimize latency and maximize performance.
Responsibilities:
- Fine-tune and optimize server, network, and storage configurations to achieve ultra-low latency for high-speed trading transactions.
- Implement redundancy and failover mechanisms to maintain uninterrupted operation of critical trading systems.
- Continuously monitor and analyze datacenter performance metrics to identify and address bottlenecks or issues that could impact trading activities.
- Deploy robust security measures to protect trading systems and sensitive financial data from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years experience with Data Centers
- Hardware repair experience
- Experience working with Cisco and Arista devices, troubleshooting Linux systems, and in maintaining data center environments.
- Experience using Python for automation a plus
