Position Overview: Are you a mechanically inclined problem solver with a passion for driving growth? Terra Contracting, Inc. is seeking a proactive and strategic Lead Mechanic for our maintenance department, you will be responsible for servicing the company’s heavy equipment / fleet maintenance support. This position offers the opportunity to spearhead business expansion and motivate a dedicated team.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise field support mechanics ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement through staff development and training initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer support, prioritizing satisfaction and swiftly resolving issues to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Monitor technician productivity and vehicle/equipment fault notifications, overseeing progress and ensuring timely completion of repairs.
  • Uphold rigorous repair and safety standards in the shop, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in operations management or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth and achieve results.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members towards shared goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric focus.
  • Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or repair preferred.
  • Willingness to embrace a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a dedication to excellence.
  • ASE certification, ASE 609.
  • Hydraulic diagnostic, Electrical diagnostic experience preferred.
