Job Summary:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Security Operations Center (SOC) Lieutenant will monitor the security and access control systems for one of our contracts in Portland, Oregon. This position is responsible for overseeing sitewide security, life-safety, and day-to day operations while leading a team of Analysts.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise all personnel in the SOC
  • Manage the day-to-day SOC operations.
  • Develop and implement project plans for key strategic initiatives designed to improve operations capabilities and responsiveness across Portland
  • Keep the Project Manager apprised of contract performance by accurately communicating status of compliance and identifying any deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Compile productivity and performance SLAs, KPIs, and dashboard reports to ensure metrics are captured and reported for executive level consumption.
  • Develop and manage the effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, Post Orders, and similar directives.
  • Respond to all communication requests.
  • Coordinate with the Manager to provide information regarding security, life-safety, and other incidents.
  • Develop and manage the effective the mplementation of incident notification protocols. g. Monitor CCTV feeds and notify appropriate stakeholders during non-routine events.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and other first responders during incidents.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to provide incident notification during events.
  • Ensure the correct deployment and operations of security systems including CCTV, access control and other various technologies.


Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in security control centers (GSOC/ESOC/SOC)
  • Have direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience in security operations at a high throughput facility is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to support First Responders as directed is required.
  • Ability to manage staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of security and building management systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of CCTV video managements systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of access control systems is required.
  • Must have experience generating reports and briefings.
  • Experience desired related to security, law enforcement, or intelligence information gathering and interpretation.
  • Must be highly organized and available during off-hours, weekends, etc.
  • Individual must be professional and reliable.
  • Ability to support and act on behalf of the PA Manager.
  • Courteous, "customer-service" demeanor is required.
  • Must have experience conducting interviews.
  • Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Other Requirements or Competencies

  • Technologically savvy - experienced with MS Office Suite. Working knowledge of technology driven scheduling platforms a plus.
  • Adept in leading teams in complex problem solving.
  • Customer Service orientation required.
  • Able to interact in a corporate environment and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to meet deadlines in a high-tempo environment.
  • Excellent time-management, organization and multi-tasking skills required.
  • A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive work attitude.
  • A positive and upbeat team member
