Developed in the wake of the recession to provide marketing and design support to struggling small businesses and nonprofits. Based in Reno, Nevada, our growing creative studio and integrated digital marketing agency specializes in design, brand strategy, advertising, campaign development, marketing consulting, and website design.


Requirements: 

- Ability to turn dry marketing jargon into LOL inducing Facebook posts 

- Proficient in the art of making memes that get our clients' brands noticed 

- Has a secret talent for making even the most mundane product sound intriguing and hilarious 

- Must have a GIF for every occasion and the perfect emoji for every sentiment 

- Knows the difference between a hashtag and a hash brown (but bonus points if you can work both into a campaign)

- Enjoys making your food, beer, or hand photos intriguing to viewers

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Media Coordinator at Design on the Edge in Reno, NV. The Social 7 Digital Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating social media content, developing and implementing social media marketing strategies, and engaging with the online community through various clients and campaigns. They will also be involved in digital marketing and communication efforts. Assist in campaign development, email marketing and lead generation design.


Social & Digital Media Coordinator Qualifications / Skills:

  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Desire to work with a team, in an onsite agency setting
  • Ability to think outside the box, and be creative
  • Photography or Video development skills
  • Understanding and implementation of social media trends
  • Ability to develop reels, stories, and monthly posts for a variety of clients
  • Ability to work independently to collect content
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Keen eye for branding and design
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools, digital media formats, and HTML
  • Excellent social listening skills
  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
  • Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with a changing project scope
  • Comfortable with email marketing


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing or a related field
  • Experience with B2C social media marketing or content development
  • Experience using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Latr)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools a plus
