Your Mission:

The Project Director (PD) oversees business development, acts as a technical resource to the design team, and supervises the project management department. Responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and effective team collaboration.

Outcomes You Will Deliver:

· Participates in leadership meetings and collaborates with other Directors.

· Ensures prompt response to project leads and attends initial client meetings.

· Collaborates on design plans and strategies within consulting contracts.

· Networks to secure new project opportunities and expand professional networks.

· Leads presentations on regulatory compliance and project technical aspects at regulatory review meetings (primarily local-level Conservation Commission public hearings).

· Supports design department in permit application preparation.

· Manages select high-profile clients directly and will serve as the escalation point for all projects to ensure coverage

· Will manage a team of Project Managers evaluating their performance and oversee their career advancement.

· Conducts site inspections to monitor progress, compliance, and quality assurance.


Who You Are:

· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Studies, or related field.

· 5+ years’ of experience managing teams

· 5+ years of experience managing projects in a fast-pace, hyper-growth environment

· Technical expertise in ecological restoration and environmental permitting.

· Expertise in presenting projects before regulatory compliance review boards.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design software a plus.

· Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, GPS.

· Experience with Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, regulations, and policies, as well as local wetlands protection bylaws and regulation and conservation commission project review procedures

· Extensive experience with native plant communities, invasive plant management, ecological restoration, and bioengineering construction

· Familiarity with Sage or Timberline accounting or client relationship management software.

· Valid Driver’s License and ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
