JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative Marketing Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. This role is responsible for developing content and executing marketing activities for a variety of client accounts.

The Marketing Specialist is a well-rounded marketer who is confident in supporting email, website, social media, content writing and management, and other activities.

In addition, the Marketing Specialist will create, manage, and execute editorial calendars to support social media strategy. This includes engagement beyond keeping up with comments—seeking new places to be present and creating awareness online. A deep understanding of marketing platforms, engagement tactics, and algorithms is a must.

  • Providing support in the overall execution of marketing strategy, including the development of brand narrative, email marketing campaigns, and content management.
  • Create high-quality content that expresses a strong brand narrative to unique audiences. This includes both copywriting and manipulation or the creation of photo and video assets.
  • Develop and present marketing insights through campaign data and analytics.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with marketing and creative teams to inform social strategy design
  • Manage client accounts and communications, taking ownership of executing daily marketing responsibilities
  • Maintain an editorial calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates
  • Content development, including the writing of blog articles, social and email copy, website content, and copy editing of client-provided content. You LOVE writing
  • Basic graphic or video editing
  • Ensure brand continuity across all content, from websites to social media channels and videos, and update legacy content to meet new content standards.
  • Management and execution of content on websites, email marketing, and social media
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends, design tools, and technologies.
  • Identify high-performing content and recommend future topics based on audience interest.
  • Search and Social PPC Management experience
  • Review, assess, and apply critical insights from data and analytics


QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for an individual who is creative and passionate about using their talents for good. Here are some other qualifications necessary for someone to thrive in this role:

  • General experience across a broad stack of tools and platforms, from Sprout Social to Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc.
  • Experience working with client accounts, including prompt, friendly, energetic communication
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Social media management experience, including engagement and understanding of individual social algorithms
  • Expertise in email marketing tools and platforms
  • Experience with CRM tools
  • Ability to project manage and/or work directly with clients
  • Comfortable working across multiple brand accounts at once in an agency environment
  • Experience developing visual media, including both photo and videography
  • Confidence and excitement in your creative ideas
  • Great communication and attention to detail
  • 5+ years experience in marketing, creative writing
  • BA in Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • Email - Hubspot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor
  • Web/CMS - WordPress, Elementor, Squarespace understanding of HTML a plus
