Managing an event messaging platform – Modernization effort and supporting existing current application. Some production support as well.

*REQUIRED SKILLS*

  • Strong hands-on experience with one or more of the following: KAFKA, MQ, TIBCO EMS
  • Java/Spring Boot
  • microservice development
  • Proven understating of data architecture patterns such as Lambda, Event driven Architecture, Data as a Service, Microservice etc.
  • Need good experience with major AWS services, particularly EKS
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch strongly preferred
  • need to have hands-on experience with the deployment phase
  • Basic understanding of querying languages in one or more of the following databases: Relational (Oracle, DB2) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB)


The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent is required; MS Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of one or more of the following messaging technologies: KAFKA, MQ, TIBCO EMS
  • 8+ years’ experience developing and using Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Multi-threading, Object Oriented Design, Secure REST APIs
  • Proven understating of data architecture patterns such as Lambda, Event driven Architecture, Data as a Service, Microservice etc.
  • 4+ years’ experience with all major AWS Services, particularly EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, ECS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Security
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)
  • Proven experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM)
  • Relational (Oracle, DB2) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB)
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
  • Ability to understand and adopt to changing business priorities and technology advancements
  • Solid understanding and technology trends in implementing of Big data ecosystem
  • Strong team player and able to mentor junior team members
  • Strong experience in problem solving analysis, owning the problem, designing the solution, and leading the change.
