Property Coordinator

This position is a centralized support role working out of a corporate office in Essex County, NJ.

The Property Coordinator will support a growing portfolio that currently consists of 8 properties. Must be able to communicate very well over the phone, work centrally and coordinate with site teams, prioritize and be organized, and efficiently support the regional property manager.


Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for prospects, answering prospect phone calls.

Extensive use of Yardi CRM.

Describing and selling the apartments via phone and setting up leasing tours for the teams to show the apartments on site. (Could also show apartments as needed.) Conducting follow-up

Coordinate with the on-site teams for move ins and move outs, leasing tours and any other needs relating to their properties.

Assist with renewals and delinquency, making calls and other needs the Regional Property Managers have.

Enter work orders.

Handle leasing paperwork for prospects.

Attend weekly pricing calls to discuss market rents, specials, traffic, etc.


Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in leasing, sales and customer service.

• Stellar priority management skills.

• Be able to gain rapport with prospects, residents, and team members via the telephone

• Must know the Section 8 process

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience with Yardi, Yardi CRM.

• Experience with Leonardo247 is a plus.

• Ability to complete tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

• Older vintage property experience (1950s and similar)

• Know your product, communities, and competitors.

• Market rate communities.

• Holding yourself accountable.

• “Nuts and Bolts” Person.

• Curious, autonomous, go-getter problem solver.

• Have an ownership mentality- understanding and believing in the ‘why’

• Help make residents, prospects, and team members feel happy and at home.
