Inside Sales Manager

Company Overview: Our client is a leading steel processing plant based in Elk Grove Village, IL. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, they specialize in processing various grades of steel to meet the diverse needs of our customers specifically in the electrical steel industries.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Manager to lead our dynamic sales team. The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the inside sales operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in inside sales, with significant experience in leading and motivating a sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the inside sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to inside sales representatives to enhance their performance and productivity.
- Monitor sales metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and production, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to the inside sales team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in inside sales, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading a sales team to success.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales management tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships.
