Job Summary:

Cougar USA is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Engineering Sales Support Specialist to develop engineering firm clientele and drive the basis-of-design (BOD) on project-related activities. This position is critical in developing the Cougar brand and setting the standard for high-performance buildings. 


Responsibilities:

• Product Selection: Choose suitable products for engineering customers based on requests.

• Drive BOD: Increase BOD capture per project to establish Cougar products as the standard.

• New Product Development: Support the creation of new solutions to drive BOD.

• Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical SME for sales teams on Cougar products.

• Tool Management: Maintain up-to-date engineering tools and resources.

• Customer Commitment: Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold the Cougar Promise.


Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Distribution, or experience in engineering sales support, technical sales, or a similar role within the engineering, construction, or building materials industry.

• Some knowledge of engineering software, sizing and selection tools, or equivalent technical programs.

• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and use engineering software tools effectively.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

• Ability to provide high-level customer service and manage client relationships.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for market growth.
