Select Trailer Co. is a tight-knit company with close ties to the surrounding community. We’re a small, family owned and operated business in Shelbyville where we've been operating for over 50 years. We love to help our guests get out on the road, happy and safe. There are about ten of us now, and we’d like to add a friendly face

What do we do?

We are a equipment dealership that sells and services special transportation products. This includes horse trailers, livestock trailers, Pro-Grade Toyhaulers, commercial cargo trailers, RVs, and other specialty items. The parts & service departments help support all the cool stuff we sell.

You are motivated to help others. You have a good sense of humor and like to have fun. You like a brisk work pace and enjoy variation in your duties and tasks. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to get done. You are honest and tend to smile a lot more than you frown (or scowl). You have large ticket sales experience- numbers don't scare you. You enjoy an outdoors lifestyle that might include horses, livestock, powersports, or RV camping. You are professional and well-spoken. You are seriously performance oriented and will enjoy a work environment that will include an office, outdoors, and shop type environments all in the same day.

What will you be doing?

Greeting prospects in-person, on the telephone, or electronically. You will help them evaluate their needs and learn their desires so that you can determine the perfect solution for them. You will then fully present that solution, handle all of the necessary details, and close the sale. You will find yourself frequently using your photographic and writing skills to market units electronically. You will move, arrange, and place trailers using a tractor or forklift. You will have the pleasure of hooking your customer up to their new trailer and reiterating all of the neat features you've help them invest in.


We are a 52 year old family-owned business that has been at this location for over 25 years. Our Sales Professionals are tasked with departmental financial responsibility to meet sales goals, maintain inventory levels within reasonable turn guidelines, and meet profit goals. This position is fully responsible for these functions, with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to succeed through exceptional management, proper execution, and excellent customer service.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Specialty Sales Representative at Select Trailer Co. in Shelbyville, TN. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to sales and customer management. This role is compensated via commission. Want to control your income? This can be it Compensation will be commission paid via a draw with quarterly settlement.
