Job Overview

We are a leading distributor of an extensive portfolio of sanitary processing equipment. We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable clerk to assist our Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities

•      Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices

•      Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances

•      Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due.

•      Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports using company-specific accounting software

•      Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions

•      Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the network

•      Assisting other departments with equipment or product purchases, tracking assets and accounts for acquisition

•      Confirming subcontractor billed working hours, bonuses, and projects.

•      Monitors over-due accounts & proactively follows up with customers.

•      Investigate any discrepancies between P/O matching (orders, pricing/etc.

Qualifications Required

•      Minimum of 2 years of full cycle accounts payable experience in high-volume environment

•       Proficiency in data entry

•      Sound mathematical and reconciliation skills.

•      Excellent communication and organizational skills, and attention to details are necessary.

•      Highly service oriented and responsive with an ability and willingness to help in all areas.

•      Must be able to work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely manner.

•      Strong initiative and ability to work independently.

•      Positive attitude and teamwork oriented

•      Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel

•      Sage Software Knowledge

•      Data entry 

•      Accounts Receivable experience 

•      Microsoft Office

•      Microsoft Excel
