Who you are:

In the role of Commercial Service Manager for our Central Florida location, you will be responsible for overseeing service and repair operations. This will involve managing safe productivity, ensuring job site safety, and leading service crews to deliver timely, cost-effective service to our customers while maintaining acceptable gross margins within the branch.


As Service Manager, it will be essential to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to ensure effective teamwork between Service and other Tempest Roofing divisions. You will also be directly responsible for increasing the local sales volume of the branch. This position requires hands-on involvement in the field when necessary, while also managing the service branch.


Key responsibilities include:


- Safety Policy and Procedure: Ensuring that all service personnel receive training on Tempest Safety Policies and Procedures and that all safety procedures are followed daily. Additionally, ensuring that all necessary safety equipment is available.

- Supervision: Providing necessary supervision to all direct reports to deliver the expected service and quality aligned with Tempest Roofing's standards.

- Customer Satisfaction: Focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations and delivering our value proposition to ensure overall customer satisfaction within the assigned branch. This includes maintaining response times, completing work orders, and providing necessary training.

- Work Order Completion: Ensuring that all service requests are completed in a timely manner, with the highest quality, and in a professional manner, including completing and submitting all required service documentation for each service work order.

- Service Response Times: Scheduling crews daily to meet the response times specified by our customer’s service requests.

- Training: Identifying and addressing the training needs of the service employees within the assigned branch, and assisting them in obtaining the necessary training.

- Sales Support: Working closely with sales to increase service sales in the branch.

  • - Self-Development: Continual improvement through reading and managerial training, guided by the Regional Manager.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum Three (3) + years of experience in the commercial roofing industry or related relevant construction experience
  • Basic knowledge of computers including Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Must have the ability to calculate figures and be able to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record to be cleared to drive a company vehicle
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel when local work is not available
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays in emergency situations


Physical Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis throughout the day.
  • Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladder up to 40 feet.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work in varied extreme weather condition (extreme hot and extreme cold weather).
  • Load and unload material and equipment from variant heights.
  • Load material and equipment from vehicles on and off the roof.
  • Lift heavy objects by hand or with a host and clean work area.
  • Shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand metal snow, or dirt.
