POSITION SUMMARY


The Marketing Copywriter will be responsible for producing engaging, clear copy for high converting advertising platforms, emails, landing pages, websites, blog posts, digital and print ads. Your duties will include creating interesting written content for Cardone Ventures’ clients to ensure projects are consistent with direct marketing best practices, brand guidelines, compliance, and overall project goals. The ideal candidate is a creative team player, talented wordsmith, and grammar sleuth.

OBJECTIVES


  • Conduct and analyze competitive, market and user research to inform a range of objectives and content strategy deliverables, including digital products (e.g. websites) and marketing programs
  • Define campaign-based and integrated content strategies for a range of clients, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods such as content audits, keyword research and analysis, competitive audits, content gap analyses, etc.
  • Engage with, present to and gain the confidence of senior client stakeholders with your content discovery, insights and creative ideas
  • Create, manage, and refine messaging frameworks and tone of voice guidelines
  • Recommend and facilitate effective content governance both internally and for our clients
  • Oversee and support a external content managers and writers to produce objective-, brand- and user-aligned content
  • Evolve internal content team processes, deliverables, tools, and training collateral
  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts, including the development of opportunity analyses and proposal presentations, thought leadership, case studies and enablement collateral
  • Create high converting promotional copy across funnels through emails, ads, and landing pages
  • Conduct split test advertising and other marketing campaigns for optimization, primarily through email marketing.
  • Write blogs, and other long form copy on websites (i.e. bios)
  • Track analytics, such as conversion and open rates, of marketing efforts as it pertains to copy-driven resources
  • Collaborate with the design team to create digital and print media advertising
  • Think strategically to organize and design campaigns that deliver desired results for various target markets across different platforms


COMPETENCIES


  • Technical writing skills and working knowledge of writing/editing standards
  • Expertise in content discovery, planning, development and measurement tools, such as Screaming Frog, Excel, GA/GSC, SEMrush, etc.
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms (direct experience with WordPress, Sitecore, Drupal and/or headless CMS, is a plus)
  • Experience with content project management software and processes
  • Experience identifying/managing technical writing resources and vendor management
  • Expert at uncovering, synthesizing, presenting and overseeing content strategies for a range objectives, including website development projects and integrated digital marketing and communications programs
  • Expert in content research and digital best practices, and the ability to shape these insights into actionable, measurable content roadmaps
  • Demonstrated experience creating data-backed, user-centered brand messaging frameworks and tone of voice guidelines
  • Working knowledge of taxonomy, structured content, Schema and meta data principles and best practices
  • Ability to define content measurement frameworks, analyze content performance, and report on competitive risks and opportunities for content
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels (organic, paid, social, email, on-site/off-site) and how content works across them to engage audiences and inspire action


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • BA in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years' experience creating compelling copy for digital marketing campaigns that convert
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Direct Response Marketing

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or computer
