Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Chief Engineer – Space Ground Systems position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role you will oversee intricate technology development and steer design processes, recommending advancements to replace end-of-life hardware. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related field and 15+ years of job-related experience. You must also be a US Citizen. ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:


As Chief Engineer, you'll leverage your extensive technical expertise to propel Program Sustainment and R&D initiatives forward. Your responsibilities will span from crafting technical strategies and driving product innovations to spearheading technical responses to proposals and nurturing client relationships and the next generation of engineers.


In this role, you'll oversee intricate technology development and steer design processes, recommending advancements to replace end-of-life hardware. Renowned as an industry expert


  • Collaborate closely with Business Development to shape strategy and maintain regular engagement with Government sponsors, industry partners, and technical personnel.
  • Deliver technical responses to government and commercial proposals.
  • Foster collaboration among the company's Chief Engineers across business lines on common technical issues and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive technical strategies, roadmaps, and product development plans.
  • Lead in-depth studies aimed at advancing program to a 5G network architecture and upgraded ground system.
  • Provide technical leadership in designing, analyzing, implementing, testing, and sustaining capabilities in this adapted 3G WCDMA cellular system for the military and associated ground system.
  • Deliver quick and thorough resolution of non-conformances and other challenges that might arise, including leading failure investigations and presentation of findings to internal and customer review boards.
  • Mentor and guide engineering team members to foster their professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 15+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experience.
