Job Title: Executive Chef - Korean Fusion Cuisine


Position Summary: AVI Foodsystems is seeking an innovative and experienced Executive Chef specializing in Korean Fusion Cuisine to lead our culinary team at our client site, Ultium Cells. The Executive Chef will be responsible for creating unique and memorable dining experiences by combining traditional Korean flavors with modern cooking techniques and global influences.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute an innovative menu that showcases Korean fusion cuisine, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current food trends.
  2. Lead and inspire the culinary team to create exceptional dishes consistently, ensuring high food quality and presentation standards.
  3. Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and financial performance.
  4. Mentor and train kitchen staff on Korean fusion cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and plating techniques.
  5. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.
  6. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  7. Foster a positive and creative work environment that encourages team members to contribute ideas and grow professionally.
  8. Engage with customers to gather feedback, respond to inquiries, and promote the Korean fusion dining experience.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and elevate the menu offerings.
  10. Represent AVI Foodsystems and Ultium Cells professionally at culinary events, meetings, and presentations.


Requirements:

  1. Culinary degree from a recognized institution or equivalent experience in Korean fusion cuisine.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.
  3. Proven track record of creating successful Korean fusion menus and driving customer satisfaction.
  4. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage and inspire a diverse culinary team.
  5. Strong business acumen and experience in managing kitchen financials, including food cost control and labor management.
  6. Creativity, passion, and innovation in developing unique Korean fusion dishes that set trends in the industry.
  7. Fluency in English; Korean language skills are a plus.
  8. ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
