Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Tax, Trusts & Estates Associate to work with sophisticated clients on a wide range of tax planning, estate planning, and trust administration matters. The ideal Tax, Trusts & Estates Associate will collaborate closely with partners and clients to provide strategic advice and innovative solutions in the areas of tax law and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and charitable giving.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of estate planning documents.
  • Counsel clients on wealth preservation and asset protection strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues.
  • Prepare and file estate tax returns and gift tax returns.
  • Handle trust administration, including trust funding and distributions.
  • Assist in the administration of estates, including probate proceedings.
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies for business transactions and investments.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas, such as corporate law and real estate, on related matters.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure exceptional client service.


Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have experience working at an AM200 Firm or come from a firm with 70+ employees.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in one or more states in which the Firm has an office and where the candidate desires to be a resident is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in tax, trusts, and estates law. LL.M preferred in Taxation or Estate Planning.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, estate planning techniques, and trust administration.
  • Excellent drafting skills with experience in preparing complex estate planning documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and client confidentiality.
  • Desire to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.


This position provides an attractive starting salary complemented by an extensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth. Your compensation will be aligned with your experience and expertise, ensuring a competitive offering. For this position, the salary range is between $225,000 and $315,000, reflecting a commitment to recognizing talent and rewarding excellence.
