Position Overview:

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be instrumental in engineering and design responsibilities across multiple projects, encompassing land development and civil site design. This role provides an exciting opportunity to mentor junior engineers and lead design work utilizing advanced 3D modeling software. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering and design activities for various projects, including site development, vertical construction, and infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in design tasks, with a focus on utilizing 3D CAD and BIM software.
  • Oversee site design processes including infrastructure layout, utilities, stormwater management, accessibility, lighting, landscaping, and environmental protection.
  • Ensure compliance with industry design standards and regulations (e.g., LID, IBC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI).
  • Conduct site assessments, engineering investigations, and prepare comprehensive construction documentation.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and industry practices, driving innovation within the team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred). Equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in a similar Civil Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
  • In-depth knowledge of site design elements, including building infrastructure layout, utilities, stormwater, lighting, landscaping, and environmental considerations.
  • Familiarity with current industry design standards and a proactive approach to adopting new technologies and practices.
  • Understanding of planning and zoning standards, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI).
  • Strong skills in technical writing and the ability to produce professional documentation.
