Qualifications

Key Engineering Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in supervising and leading internal project teams in the creation of Construction Documents for site development.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical projects.
  • Positive contributor to the overall goals, culture, and morale of the office and department.
  • Manage and engage in multiple projects simultaneously and profitably.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders at their offices or project sites.
  • Experience in coordinating drawings and designs with external consultants, including Architects, Owners, and Engineers.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to efficiency in completing tasks within set schedule constraints.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Execute work in alignment with agreed budgets and timelines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Skilled in Hydro CAD, Storm CAD, and SWWM (or similar) stormwater modeling software.
  • Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, and Google Apps.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver consulting services for both internal and external clients utilizing Civil/Site Engineering technical expertise, including site grading analysis, earthwork calculations, drainage design, utility layout and sizing, erosion and sediment control design, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Lead a project team of junior and experienced engineers to achieve project design deliverables.
  • Oversee the development of preliminary to final design calculations and drawings.
  • Conduct site due diligence and entitlement investigations.
  • Review field data and perform inspections of existing stormwater facilities.
  • Engage in technical writing for design reports and permitting applications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in Site Grading, Earthwork Calculations, Road Design, Drainage (Calculations & Reports), Utility Layout & Sizing, Technical Report Writing, and preparation of Technical Specifications.
  • Experience with Construction Documentation on various project types.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government.
