Established in late 2019, our menu includes island favorites such as curry chicken, oxtail, and jerk chicken, as well as blends of Caribbean and American cultures like our Jerk-BBQ burgers and wings, Pineapple-Mango Blaze wings, and mouth-watering tacos. In response to customer demand, we started bottling our sauces in 2022. Soul Rebel was inspired by Kofi Annan, an award-winning author and activist known for his bold and unapologetic approach to social justice advocacy.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Line Cook at Soul Rebel located in Petersburg, VA. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing food items, following recipes and guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring food quality and presentation. The Line Cook will also assist with inventory management and contribute to menu development.

Qualifications
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking
  • Knowledge of Caribbean and American cuisine
  • Ability to follow recipes and guidelines
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Experience with menu development is a plus
  • Culinary training or certification is a plus
