Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Secretary at the Venous Institute of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. The Medical Secretary will be responsible for appointment scheduling, clerical tasks, maintaining medical office records, and obtaining insurance authorizations for procedure scheduling. They will work closely with the medical staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and provide excellent patient care.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in appointment scheduling, clerical skills, and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a medical office setting
  • Strong typing skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes is a plus
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Associate's degree or certification in Medical Office Administration or related field is preferred
  • Medent software experience is a plus
