ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Rate $34.00 to $35.00 per hour

Job Results & Essential Function

Professional Proficiency Demonstrated

Maintains professional competenciesFulfils the job requirements for professional licensed role within respective departmentAssists provider with requests to ensure expedited and efficient care deliveryManages patient flowAssists the secretary with appropriate scheduling of patientsCompletes follow up phone callsMaintains friendly and caring environment for patients

Delivery of High-Quality Clinical Outcomes

Applies healthcare practices as deemed competent by nursing educator and under the direction of a providerInterprets, supports and implements policies and proceduresActs as a team player and works collaboratively within the team and organizationAssists with developing priorities, goals, and action plansResponds to requests from Department ManagerCollaborates with interdisciplinary teams to assist with evaluation of programs and servicesParticipates in department and/or system wide team dynamic initiativesAccurately records observationsLiaison for provider and patient/familyAble to identify patient care problems and suggest solutions to enhance patient outcomesAble to answer patient questions as appropriate when Provider is not presentAccurately obtain and document vital signsCommunication, leadership skills, and decision making skills

Education & Experience

Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing with a permit or license (LPN) to practice in New York State

Licenses and/or Certifications

CPR Required/ BLS through The American Heart AssociationMust provide diploma for highest level of educationMust provide documentation of two doses of Varicella, or positive titer
