Position: Esthetician


Join our team at JE’DERM Skin Atelier as an Esthetician, where you'll administer professional facials and specialized treatments to our valued clients. We're seeking an individual with a deep understanding of skincare, exceptional facial massage techniques, and proficiency in skin extraction methods. Your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, along with a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement, is crucial to our operation. The ideal candidate should possess a positive and empowering attitude, going above and beyond to provide exceptional service and care to our valued clients. This role requires a dedicated, enthusiastic professional ready to help others regain their self-confidence


Key Responsibilities:


Client Satisfaction:

  • Perform a variety of professional facials services and specialized skincare treatments tailored to individual client needs. (this may include but not limited to microdermabrasion, microcurrent, oxygen treatment and body microdermabrasion)
  •   Demonstrate proficiency in facial massage techniques and skin extraction procedures.
  • Utilize exceptional communication skills to understand and address client concerns and preferences effectively.


Revenue Growth:

  • Achieve a minimum of $200 in daily product sales through expert advice and recommendations. (goals will change over time to improve performance and align with company objectives)
  • Encourage clients to pre-book future appointments, aiming for a 70% pre-book rate.


Speed and Efficiency:

  • Maintain allocated service time while ensuring efficient service performance to deliver high quality results.


Cleanliness and Sanitation:


  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized workspace, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist in keeping the entire spa clean and orderly to provide a safe and comfortable environment for clients.


Professional Development:

  • Continuously learn and train in JE’DERM’S specific facial treatment offerings to deliver exceptional service.
  • Take continuing education classes provided by JE’DERM skin atelier which may include online programs, in person events and or on-site training.


Client Retention:

  • A min of 70% client retention; defined as 70% of clients rebooking for services with Esthetician.

Technical Knowledge and Professionalism:

  • Basic knowledge of skincare ingredients (but training will also be provided).
  • Able to comfortably perform skin analysis.
  • Must keep client files updated.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times to create a positive impression on clients. JE’DERM will provide one uniform that all estheticians for the company must wear.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively consult with clients, offer recommendations, and address their concerns.
  • Ability to consult with clients to understand their unique skincare needs and recommend suitable treatments while tailoring services to meet client preferences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive team environment.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability:

  • Dedication to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, products, and techniques to enhance skills and adaptability.

 Reliability:

  • Demonstrating reliability and consistency in providing exceptional facial services aligned with our standards and protocols and customer care requirements.

Positive Attitude:

  • Positive attitude and maintaining a passion for ensuring client satisfaction.

Sales Goal Achievement:

  • Must meet monthly goals with encouragement to exceed them. The goals being a min of 70% of clients rebooking services and $ 200 in daily product sales.


Requirements:


  • Obtain and maintain a current esthetician license from the New York State Board.
  • 2+ years experience in providing facials and skincare treatments is required.
  • Dermaplaning certificate is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing a diverse range of skincare treatments, including but not limited to facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc. (Training and courses will be provided.)
  • Exhibit excellent knowledge of skincare anatomy, skincare products, ingredients, and their associated benefits.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding customer service skills.
  • While familiarity with Environ, Circadia, and iS Clinical products is beneficial, it is not mandatory
  • Flexibility to accommodate evening and 3 weekend shifts as required.
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multitask while keeping attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding in working with social media and utilizing social media for business/marketing purposes; ability to create content for JE’DERM is expected.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge.
  • Embrace and uphold JE’DERM’S values and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Consistently demonstrate ethical conduct and confidentiality when dealing with client information.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting down, and bending over.
  • Must have the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks and or a high volume environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Competitive hourly rate $ 25.00-28 per hour commensurate with experience, paid bi-weekly.

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week including evenings and weekends as JE’DERM has client bookings during that time.
