LHH is looking for an IT Strategic Sourcing Manager for a large and well-known company in Northbrook, IL. You will play a key role in supporting the Technology Procurement division. You will report directly to the Director, and you will assist with tactical procurement functions and play an integral role in the companies ongoing digital and operational transformation.


This is contract role, Contract w/ potential to extend or convert beyond 6 months. Up to $60 per hour with benefits. This hybrid role is based out of our Northbrook, IL, working on-site Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.


Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external partners, addressing procurement needs and expectations.

- Draft and present proposals, reports, and updates on procurement processes, contract terms, and vendor performance.

- Monitor contract timelines, terms, and vendor agreements to ensure compliance with deadlines and organizational goals.

- Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating terms and resolving conflicts while maintaining cost-efficiency.

- Review and manage contracts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and performance improvements.

- Conduct market research to analyze pricing trends and uncover cost-saving opportunities.


What You’ll Bring:

- Strong knowledge of IT contract standards, legal terms, and compliance requirements.

- Expertise in contract management, negotiation, and vendor performance monitoring.

- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and align procurement processes.

- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs), and contract management systems.

- Familiarity with tools such as Hyperion, Peoplesoft, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or SQL (a plus but not required).


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

- 5+ years of experience in a strategic sourcing/procurement role.

- Previous work experience in contract management.
