DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide and wholeheartedly support all team members, recognizing the unique contributions they bring to our team.
  • Develop and implement a knowledge base (KB) plan, prioritizing key areas for documentation and training.
  • Implement, upgrade, and maintain IBM Infosphere solutions on cloud and help modernization efforts.
  • Design and develop ETL processes for MDM.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot performance and production issues.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Clover DX and/or other suitable ETL tools.
  • Ensure data integration and transformation processes are efficient and effective.
  • Conduct data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation activities.
  • Utilize Java/Python for custom development and integration within data management solutions and build-out and support custom API.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate Java-based solutions into existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and standards in all data management activities.
  • Provide guidance on latest industry trends and technologies related to data management and integration.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing processes and systems.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members
  • Prepare technical documentation
  • Provide support to testing teams
  • Report to MDM team Lead


REQUIRED SKILLS (Special Skill Set, Abilities, Knowledge):

  • Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise in the following:
  • IBM Infosphere
  • ETL – Informatica or CloverDX
  • Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise in at least three of the following:
  • AWS Solutions
  • PL/SQL and SQL Developer
  • Data Quality Tools
  • Java
  • Python
  • Demonstrates a willingness to connect with individuals from different backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment and bridging gaps.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to consider alternative solutions, and/or enterprise goals.
  • Approaches their work, data science, and the topic of Master Data Management with genuine enthusiasm
  • Experience working as a technical lead for development projects, and proven experience upgrading Infosphere through various versions, and familiar with the common issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of application architecture and design best practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of formal software development life cycle methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical application tools, and best-of-breed in the marketplace
  • Proven track record of helping to deliver application projects on time and on budget
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven experience working with state or federal government clients a bonus.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all parts of the organization
  • Ability to work part of a team and develop relationships within the team and across the business
  • Ability to analyze software problems and issues to develop solutions
  • Sound problem resolution, judgment and decision-making


QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Years’ Experience, Certificates):

  • 8+ years demonstrated experience designing and developing IBM Infosphere solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
