This Global Manufacturer for Aquatic Equipment servicing many parts of the world. The company is currently seeking a Logistics Manager to join the team and report to the Sales and Operation Planning Manager.


KEY FUNCTIONS :


  1. Assume 3PL overall oversight, and responsibility to ensure the achievement of importations, storage, picking, packing and shipping/exportations targets within agreed budgetary requirements.
  2. Through strong leadership ensure that the team is highly motivated and produce products “right first time” in an efficient cost-effective manner.
  3. The logistics manager is the Key contact for all logistics and transport matters of North America & EXPORT market. He/she is responsible for setting of a coherent and efficient logistics plan to achieve the sales objectives set for the North America & EXPORT zone involving all internal (customer service, logistics team, transport & customs, customer services, sales, supply team, etc.) and external stakeholders.
  4. Ensure that continuous improvement (Lean process) and costs reduction aims are met.
  5. Will spend around 50% of his / her time in the 3PL to drive projects, help to fix issues, etc…
  6. As the NA supply chain is a small team, the NA Logistics Manager will need to be versatile and know how to manage, issue and track Purchase Orders to external suppliers and internal factories to respond to variations in demand when the manager NA S&OP is absent.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :


The logistics manager takes the responsibilities for ensuring:

  1. Define with 3PL the logistical organization of flows to optimize storage capacities in terms of surface and volume.
  2. Daily supervision of logistics activities in collaboration with 3PL teams, define task force based on weekly volume (inbound, storage, cycle count inventory, outbound, returns, destruction, etc..).
  3. Incoming goods in stock and in time. (Importations from external & internal suppliers)
  4. Warehouse orders are shipped in goods conditions, respecting VAS requirements and shipped on time.
  5. Manage Backlog or Backorders forgotten at quay.
  6. Manage with 3PL stock discrepancies and update stock in ERP.
  7. Supervise VAS operation, rework, consumables purchase and returns.
  8. 3PL & Carriers Monthly Invoicing control/check and validation.
  9. Negotiate 3PL extra costs (reworks, etc…)
  10. A Master Data updated (in coordination with Master Data & Performance Manager and PM/PDM teams).
  11. Daily supervision of carriers and forwarders activities (customs issue, delay, damage, KPI, etc…)
  12. Lead and follow Logistics projects (ex: implement IT dev, improve operational process, update database, define or review KPI, etc..).
  13. Manage and supervise customers claims.
  14. Setting and respecting the budget, quality, and hygiene standards
