Project Manager

Job Summary: Be an integral part of a growing business helping to shape and grow the company. As a Project Manager this position will oversee and advise on the design and construction of small footprint, factory manufactured, commercial and industrial building projects. They will monitor the progress of the design and construction processes, interfacing with clients and third-party engineering firms, making sure projects are compliant with destination building codes and requirements. They will typically assist in the development, organization, and review of building plans as well as bills of materials and construction schedules. Construction schedules to be coordinated with the facility Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of the design and construction process of a building project.
• Function as the recognized expert of international building and energy conservation codes
• Facilitate project document review and exchange. Incorporating AHJ & client requirements.
• Review local building codes and use them in assisting in the design of single or multi-module projects.
• Formulate and oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and client expectations.
• Interface with third party plan review agencies and advise on building code compliance.
• Manage multiple multi-discipline projects concurrently.
• Coach and mentor coworkers to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Recommend and implement modifications and improvements to business processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Familiarity with IBC, IECC, NFPA as well as UL, FM listings and designations.
• Ability to read and analyze architectural drawings.
• Commercial construction experience.
• Experience in modular/volumetric building industry - preferred.
• Proven experience as a project manager, plan reviewer, building inspector, sr. project
engineer, architectural project manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Excel
