Video Specialist (production, videography, editing)

6+ month full time contract

Hybrid: 2 days per week in San Francisco

Pay: $65-75/hr. W2 DOE


The Sage Group’s client, the leading worldwide SaaS company is searching for a contract Video Specialist with corporate experience to support mainly internal content.

As our Video Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to communicate our vision through visually stunning and emotionally resonant videos. Joining our talented in-house creative team, you'll take on a diverse array of video projects, from punchy social media clips to informative tutorials and moving employee testimonials. We are looking for a dynamic video specialist who thrives on telling stories through video and understands the crucial role a brand plays in corporate success. Harnessing our extensive library of footage, as well as working with vendors to capture new footage, you'll expertly craft assets that are not only visually striking but also align perfectly with our brand identity. In addition to working with existing content, you'll collaborate closely with our Senior Art Director to conceptualize and execute original shoots as needed. Your creative insights will be instrumental in ensuring that every video we produce reinforces the strength and consistency of the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, recruiting, and the employee development teams, to first understand content needs and objectives to effectively communicate their message while aligning with our overall brand standards
  • Conceptualize, script, and storyboard compelling video content for various channels, including explainer videos, program demos, employee career growth stories, and social media content
  • Manage all aspects of video production, from pre-production planning and storyboarding to filming, editing, and post-production
  • Familiarity with filming, editing, and post-production techniques, equipment and software to create high-quality, visually stunning, and engaging videos
  • May participate in video shoots, including operating cameras and basic audio equipment (travel may be included)
  • Excellent project management skills with proficiency in Google Suite and Asana
  • Stay up to date on the latest video trends and technologies, constantly seeking new ways to elevate video production

Qualifications:

  • A passion for storytelling and a results-oriented approach to everything you do
  • 4+ years of experience creating video content in a marketing or communications setting
  • Experience with motion graphics or animation with AE
  • Diverse experience across production, videography, and Editing
  • Proven ability to develop creative and engaging video concepts for various purposes
  • Strong understanding of video production principles, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and post-production
  • Ability to self-manage, manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize workloads around tight deadlines
  • Strong ownership mentality and team accountability with creative problem-solving skills

Bonus points for:

  • Additional training in multimedia and communications is a plus
  • Experience with social media video platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube)
  • Proven ability to manage and optimize video content libraries for maximum impact.
