Infosys is seeking a Technical Writer. This position will be responsible for preparing and producing technical documents. The documentation produced as part of this role will include user manuals, end-user work instructions, training documentation and other as deemed necessary as part of projects. You will be expected to work with Technical Product owner and SME's.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh (NC) or be willing to relocate to the area.
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing or Related Field. We would also consider bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science or any other technical major.
Min 4 Yrs. of Experience in Technical Writing.
Ability to read, interpret and explain circuit diagrams and schematics.
U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, we are unable to sponsor at this time.
Preferred Qualifications
Lead the development of required technical documentation for existing and future equipment. This will include both mechanical tasks and the control programs that run the tools.
Update existing documentation and procedures to bring them up to current standards.
Some of this work will include documenting software and database processes. Experience in documenting these types of processes will be a plus.
Work across multiple teams to gather information and generate documentation that all members of the Process Engineering team can utilize to be successful in their day-to-day activities.
Must be able to gather information including technical manuals, engineering documents and interview with customer SME will be mandatory.
May lead, guide, and train employees by performing related work as part of the discovery phase.
May assist in 5S standardization programs
Communicate effectively and professionally and work as part of a larger team
The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
